LONDON — If you’re one of the people thinking about boycotting Uber this winter, a new deal might help you get around the capital.
In the latest salvo in the ongoing taxi-price wars, GetTaxi, the cab-hailing app that works exclusively with black cab drivers in London, has announced a “£5 London rides” promotion until the end of this year. The deal will see all rides starting in zones 3 to 6 outside the centre, and lasting under 10 km, cost £5 — regardless of traffic or time. GetTaxi offered a similar deal in New York last month.
